OUTLINE
Yamamura Photonics focuses on providing caps and glass LIDs for infrared packages in line with the recent expansion of infrared applications in the optoelectronics market. We join Ge (germanium) as a window material to caps and LIDs with our core technology, "Glass to Metal Seal (GTMS)", and proposed these for infrared (several μm band) applications. We are also focusing on the development of new products, such as resin bonding type products that include CaF2, which has excellent transmittance from ultraviolet to infrared, as a window material.
FEATURES
Designed for infrared (4 to 11 μm)
The transmittance at long wavelengths of 4 to 11 μm is improved by using Ge as a window material and applying an optical coating. We propose the optimum design for mid-infrared applications such as quantum cascade lasers.
CaF2cap
High reliability and high airtightness
We have achieved excellent airtightness(1.0×10-9Pa・m3/s or less) and high reliability by using sealing glass to join Ge windows.
Custom design support for size, shape, and optical coating
We support custom designs of sizes and shapes that match the customer’s package.
We also support optical coating designs such as AR coat and BPF adjusting to the wavelength band used.
