In the market surrounding gas reference cells, the space-saving of various machines and devices has progressed. Therefore, the need for miniaturization of mounted cells is also increasing in recent years.
Because of this situation, a compact design which secures the internal volume is required, in addition to the same or higher level of hermeticity and reliability as current products. However, Yamamura Photonics' conventional manufacturing process could not meet such needs of customers due to major technical issues in the container manufacturing and encapsulation processes.
Against the background of the situation above, Yamamura Photonics is trying to develop an ultra-small cell with an outer dimension of 2.5 mm or less. In addition to utilizing the know-how cultivated through many years of glass cell production, we will fundamentally review the container manufacturing process and aim to realize an ultra-compact gas-filled cell for next-generation devices.

Size & Shape: Square cell with outer dimensions of 2.5 mm or less
Material: Borosilicate glass (pyrex), silica glass, etc.
Hermeticity: Equivalent to conventional products
Transmittance: Equivalent to conventional products
Encapsulation: Enables encapsulation of various gases
